MSoccer steamrolls Lasell

The Brandeis mens soccer team went 2-0 this week, recording two big shutouts against Lasell College and Colby-Sawyer College. These two wins are part of a four game shutout streak that the Judges are currently riding. In the last four games the Judges have outscored their opponents 21-0.

Brandeis recorded another win Tuesday night in defeating Lasell College on the road 8-0. Ben Premo 09 lead the way with three goals and two assists, while midfielder Yuval Ezer 07 contributed another three goals and one assist. Mike Snyder 07 added two more goals for the Judges. Snyder now has eight goals in the last four Brandeis games.

Lasell (12-5) managed ten shots, getting only five on goal. Their goalkeeper was kept busy all game, making 16 saves in the losing effort.

The Brandeis mens soccer team improved its record to 8-5-3 in its first game this week behind six goals and four assists from its seniors. The Judges defeated Colby-Sawyer College 9-0 in the regular season home finale. The nine goals were the highest total for Brandeis since 1996.

Brandeis was lead by Snyder, who scored three goals, including two in the first ten minutes, and added an assist. Forward David Spear 07 and midfielder Ezer each added a goal and an assist to the balanced Brandeis attack. Spears goal was the first of his career.

Also scoring in their last regular season game at Gordon Field were midfielders Jordan Skolnick 07, who scored his second career goal, and Scott Zackaroff 07, who assisted on Snyders third and final goal of the night.

Colby-Sawyer, 6-9-2, managed to put out eleven shots, but they only were able to place two on goal.

Brandeis will next travel to Washington University in St. Louis and then to the University of Chicago for UAA matches on Oct. 27 and Oct. 29.
