Established at The Friends of Great Black Music Loft, Boston, MA July 1977. This is the 30th Anniversary Celebration of John Coltrane's beautiful jazz magic. $20 for students. On Friday check out Bill Pierce Quartet featuring Mulgrew Miller at 8 p.m. Then on Saturday listen to The John Coltrane Memorial Ensemble featuring Ravi Coltrane Quartet and Amiri Baraka at 7:30 p.m.

College Fest

Saturday to Sunday, Sept. 22-23, 2007
Over 15,000 students from over 100 New England campuses are going to live it up in the Hynes Convention Center. Some popular musical artists are playing, such as Fabolous, Shop Boyz, We Are The Fury, and VH1 reality stars Whitestarr. There are also a few local bands playing. Free stuff will be everywhere, and lots of contests hosted by companies sponsoring the event. $10 admission with College ID. Tickets available both online and at the door.
