F-board reallocates BTV funding
The Union Finance Board approved of a budget reallocation requested by the campus television station BTV, sources say. Representatives from the television station, which has not produced original programming since gaining an entirely first-year executive board in 2006, said they believed the reallocation will help them transition from a channel-based paradigm to an online format.
Politics professor accused of making racist remarks
Professor Donald Hindley (POL) was charged with violating the Universitys Non-Discrimination and Harassment Policy for statements made in his classes, sources say. Based on documents forwarded via e-mail, Hindley, who has taught at Brandeis for 46 years, will have to undergo University-funded anti-discrimination training and have a monitor in his classes.
I, as Provost, am extremely concerned for the welfare of the Universitys studentsthe University will not tolerate inappropriate, racial and discriminatory conduct by members of its faculty, said a letter allegedly written by Provost Marty Krauss, which was scanned in its entirety and sent via e-mail by Hindley to the Concerned e-mail listserve.
Boston wins it all again
Waiting between championships was a lot easier this time around for the Boston Red Sox. Overwhelming in every way, Jon Lester, Mike Lowell and Co. left little room for drama, and completed their second World Series sweep in four seasons Sunday with a 4-3 triumph over Colorado.
Cross Country has both teams looking
After months of training and a season that contained numerous ups and downs, the Mens and Womens Cross Country teams finally competed at the UAA Championships on Saturday. The meet was hosted by Brandeis and took place at Franklin Park in Boston. The weather was not at all ideal for running, as rain slowed some times. Nevertheless, the Judges did well at the meet in what is one of the most competitive Division III Cross Country conferences in the nation.

Midway through an NFL season good enough for Hollywood
s we reach the half way point in the 2007 NFL season, football fans have been privy to a season filled with excitement;
there has been controversy, some record breaking perfomances, and a number of new stars.
2007 has been a year filled with stories that could be turned into Hollywood films. Tom Brady and the Patriots perfect start on the field couldn't have been scripted much better. The 8-0 Patriots have been completely dominating their opponents, and new acquisition Randy Moss has been a perfect fit in New England.
Eddy releases class of 2011 statistics
Out of the 7,605 students who applied and the 2,585 that were accepted, a total of 705 freshmen, 34 transfers, and 94 midyears enrolled in the class of 2011, said Senior Vice President for Students and Enrollment Jean Eddy in a report to the Faculty Senate. 181 were accepted early decision. There are 167 students of color, 69 international students, 312 men and 393 women.
Union Secretary resigns over E-board policies
Union Secretary Michael Goldman 08 resigned last night, citing irreconcilable differences with the Executive Board and its policies regarding arming campus police and the apparent illegality of the Racial Minority Senator position, sources say. This resignation comes after a Union censure and several attempts at impeachment following his disclosure of voting information during the Senator elections on Sept. 17.
