Brandeis appoints Jordan Tannenbaum ‘72 as Senior Vice President of Institutional Advancement amid capital campaign

Brandeis recently announced Jordan Tannenbaum ‘72 was appointed to Senior Vice President of Institutional Advancement as the university begins a capital campaign. Tannenbaum graduated from the university in 1972 and went on to graduate cum laude from American University’s school of law. Mr. Tannenbaum has long been a friend of the university, helping with institutional advancement efforts, and was recently appointed by Interim President Arthur Levine to lead a Brandeis Capital campaign. Based in Washington D.C., the lawyer worked with the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, where he was the Chief Development Officer for a fundraising initiative that raised over one billion dollars. 

Interim President Arthur Levine has emphasized the need to take bold steps to ensure Brandeis remains competitive and financially stable. His tenure has been marked by efforts to restructure the university’s financial model, and he has identified increasing revenue streams as a top priority. In his new role, Tannenbaum will work closely with Levine and other university leaders to engage alumni, philanthropists and institutional donors in supporting Brandeis’ future. Given his track record in leading major fundraising initiatives, his appointment signals a renewed commitment to long-term financial sustainability.
