Comedian Max Lance to perform at Brandeis

Collegehumor.com humorist and comedian Max Lance will be performing at Brandeis this upcoming Sunday at 9:30 p.m. in the Shapiro Campus Center.

The 21 year old began hitting the club scene in New York at the age of 13 in order to pay his dues. Lance says that stand up and writing have become more of a passion after dropping out [of New York University] two years ago. Since his academic days, Lance has started his own online humor magazine at www.thetripe.com and has contributed to numerous humor websites including Cracked 2.0. He is also a staff writer for the legendary collegehumor.com.

Lance likes using comedy to let people know that its OK to laugh at more inappropriate topics. I dont set out to try and test an audiences limits or try and offend, but rather I like to present my point and my harsher jokes to see how a crowd reacts. If theyre liberal and open to anything then I can do a show for them, and if they want to hear cleaner jokes and more stuff about my life rather than observational jokes then I can do that show. Comedy for me is motivated by selfish goals as I get an unparalleled rush when someone laughs at a joke Ive written, and when Im an audience member watching a comedian I admire, theres no better escape.

Check out Max this weekend at his Brandeis University debut. With his comedic talent and ability we will surely be seeing his name in lights soon.
