Honors for this week's UAA Athlete of the Week goes to five Brandeis fencers, who helped lead their teams to the New England Intercollegiate Fencing championship at MIT this past Sunday. The winners include Kai Keller '07 and Eugene Vortsman '08 for the men's squad, while Chantal Dewey '07, Stefanie Aucoin '08, and Jessica Davis-Heim '07 took home the prize for the women.

The men took the title following a tie with Boston College and winning 78 of their 97 bouts. The Judges were also victorious in two of the three team and individual weapon titles.

The women had six top-three to help win titles in two of the three weapons to help win the overall crown. Brandeis beat 12 other squads, and came away victoriously in 81 of 105 bouts.
