New trustee named to Board

The Brandeis Board of Trustees elected its newest member, Leslie (Meltzer) Aronzon ’84, for a four-year term.

Aronzon, who now lives in Los Angeles, has been an active member of the alumni community since her graduation in 1984. In addition to her new position on the Board of Trustees, Aronzon serves as Vice President of the Alumni Association. She has helped organize reunions, hosts many alumni events in her home and is a member and interviewer on the Alumni Admissions Council.

“I am so honored to be a part of the Board of Trustees,” Aronzon told BrandeisNOW. “Brandeis has always been a big part of my life. Brandeis is small but makes such a big difference in the world. It is really going places.”

Aronzon majored in economics and studied abroad at the Sorbonne in France. After graduation, she was hired by an LA consulting firm, an achievement she credits to the thinking and problem-solving abilities she learned at Brandeis.

Three members of the Board of Trustees died in 2012, Irving Schneider ’75, Ken Kaiserman ’60 and Robert Shapiro ’52.
