Man exposes himself to Brandeis community member

A male exposed himself to a Brandeis community member, said an email sent by Director of Public Safety Edward M. Callahan. The incident occured on Oct. 1 on South Street near Boston Children’s Hospital Waltham.

The community member was walking down the street towards Highland Street when a small silver or light-colored sedan driving on South Street approached the community member, according to the email.

When the car reached the community member, a middle-aged, heavy-set male who was driving the car exposed himself to the community member.

The community member reported the incident to the Brandeis Police on Oct. 3, and the department contacted the Waltham Police, who are currently running an investigation in conjunction with the Brandeis Police.

In the email, Callahan also encouraged community members to contact Waltham Police by dialing 9-1-1 in case of any suspicious or criminal incidents that may occur off campus. Additionally, even if the event occurs off campus, still notify Brandeis Police at 781-736-3333.

He goes on to offer an opportunity for members of the Brandeis community to step forward if they have any information relating to the incident by contacting him at ecallahan@brandeis.edu or Brandeis Police.
