In the Senate Feb. 12

Student Union Vice-President, Benedikt Reynolds ’19 reminded the Senate that the last meeting will be on Dec. 9, where the Senate will also be electing a new Executive Senator. He also reminded that Elections for the position of Vice President and Treasurer of the Student Union will occur on Dec. 10. Results will be announced on Dec. 11 during the State of the Union address. 

The Brandeis Quiz Bowl Team presented to the Senate regarding a change to their constitution. The Team wanted to dissolve the position of the events coordinator, since the team does not have events. The remaining tasks will be passed on to the recruitment and media chair. The Senate passed the motion to change the team’s constitution. 
The Dining committee informed the Senate that they are having an important meeting the following week, where they will be deciding on the menu for the next semester. The meeting is open to the public. The dining committee meets on wednesdays from 1:30-2:30 p.m. in Sherman and with students on Mondays and Tuesdays from 1pm-1:30pm in the union office.

The Health and Safety Committee reported that the Condom Initiative is going to come into effect at the beginning of next calendar year. They also reported concerns of students finding dead birds outside of Skyline. The Department of Community Living (DCL) and facilities will be contacted in regard to the birds.

The Services and Outreach Committee reminded the Senate  that the Midnight Buffet is coming up on Dec. 11, and that there will be a shuttle going from airport to Brandeis on Jan. 14.

The Community Emergency and Enhancement Fund (CEEF) reported that they started advertising Branda, the new app which combines all the existing apps into one.

North Quad Senator David Hui ’22, reported that he has been getting complains about heaters making noise.

International Student Senator Linfei Yang ’20 reported that he is having a meeting with international students, on Wednesday, Dec. 5 from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m..
