To acquire wisdom, one must observe

Racham—a sliver of heavenly love

Basking in the sun with my mother on a single bed, we fit like two peas in a pod.

whether we laugh and reminisce,

or we sit in silence and just ponder life,

we are together and that is what comforts us.

how can human love be so deep?

how can a species that is believed to exist through competition have a love that breaks down all barriers?

I am reminded that God made a special type of love, a love that is only present in the delicate bond between a mother and a child.

I am reminded of racham.

I am reminded that God possesses this unfathomable love for His children, which I can get a glimpse of from my mother. A sliver of heavenly love.
