Although May had just barely begun, Pinback filled the nightclub with shimmering and beautifully orchestrated pop that made it seem like the July sunset would greet concertgoers when they left the club.

If you havent spent much time in front of the tv being bombarded with ads about what to watch this fall, or if you need a little trigger to help the brainwashing kick in, heres the lowdown on whats on.
FPTC provides new avenue for student theatre
This year, another new theatre group will be offering a series of plays to Brandeis audiences. The Free Play Theatre Collective (FPTC) was founded last year by Artistic Director Josh Mervis 08 and Managing Director Brian Paternostro 07 in collaboration with the Theater Arts Department;
after careful planning, its inaugural season will begin this fall.
‘Deis raises $81.3 mil
Brandeis set a university fundraising record of $81.25 million in cash gifts for the fiscal year ending on Jun. 30, according to the University Office of Development. This eclipsed the old record of $72 million, which was set in 2003.
Java City leaving Shapiro
Java City in the Shapiro Campus Center is going to be replaced by Einstein Bros. Bagels within the next month, according to University Dining Services and the Department of Student Activities.

According to the Brandeis Department of Media Relations, the Brandeis Board of Trustees elected 5 new members: Morton Ginsberg 56, Vartan Gregorian, Jonathon S. Jacobson, Dorothy Pierce and John Usdan.

We kind of had a feeling that college basketball hadn't seen the last of Amanda DeMartino. The playing component was obviously done for good this winter with graduation looming and now past, but there were a plethora of ways DeMartino could stay involved. One of those was coaching, which is exactly why she recently agreed to be the Northwood women's basketball coach.

Old-time baseball in Cambridge
