For the first time in more than thirty years the Japan Society will present Bunraku, an internationally renowned puppet theater. 32 artists from the troupe will bring large puppets, 3/4ths the size of a normal person, and manipulated by three puppeteers each. This traditional art form from the 16th century will be stunning and a cultural celebration not to be missed. There will be English subtitles. $20 students.
